Tech recap of the week ft Jio & Airtel, Intel and MORE...

Jio Partners with SpaceX for India’s Starlink Internet

Reliance Jio has officially partnered with SpaceX to introduce Starlink internet services in India. Announced on Wednesday, this strategic alliance will expand Jio’s already massive reach as the world’s largest mobile operator by data traffic. By leveraging Starlink’s advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite technology, Jio aims to bring high-speed internet to remote and underserved regions of India. This move directly counters Bharti Airtel’s recent merger with SpaceX, which aims to roll out a similar project.

Airtel and SpaceX Partner on Starlink Rollout

Bharti Airtel has also teamed up with SpaceX in a landmark collaboration to bring Starlink’s satellite internet services to India. However, the service rollout is awaiting regulatory clearances. Once approved, Airtel’s vast retail network could distribute Starlink satellite hardware, enabling widespread access to high-speed connectivity. This partnership is set to bridge the digital divide by delivering stable internet to rural schools, healthcare centers, and remote villages.
