Following up on a six-fold rise in its Indian business sector revenue since 2021, Synology has unveiled its enterprise-level application blueprint for the first time in the country. At an event in Mumbai that saw the showcase of its consumer and enterprise-level solutions, the Taiwanese brand also introduced several software updates and new products.

Among the new introductions is the company’s ActiveProtect series, which offers a streamlined interface to counter deployment and sizing challenges. This solution can protect up to 2,500 multi-server environments across multiple sites while offering data immutability and retention policies to ensure business continuity in the event of ransomware attacks.

Russell Chen, Country Manager of the SAARC Region, Synology, said about the product, “The ActiveProtect series is highly suited for the Indian market, with its focus on data recovery and immutability, making it a reliable tool for IT to ensure data security. Additionally, we assure the multi-site friendly system will align well with India’s business structure.”

Synology also showcased its Scale-out Solution meant to deliver scale-out storage to support both file and object storage. This arrangement is ideal for high-capacity, non-disruptive data management, as it supports both file and object storage and performance growth when adding additional storage servers.

Surveillance is also a market Synology has dipped its feet into. The company has introduced in India its C2 Surveillance Station (region-restricted), a cloud-based video surveillance solution with edge AI and multi-layer encryption. This surveillance solution is aimed at providing secure and efficient monitoring for environments without local recording servers.

Lastly, the company has even showcased its productivity tool, the Office Suite, which integrates GenAI features designed to enhance collaboration and streamline workflows.

Joanne Weng, Director, the International Business Department, Synology, said, “Synology remains committed to empowering IT, the essential foundation of business, by delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of the industry, just as we have done since the very beginning.”

Meanwhile, Synology continues to offer multiple consumer-focused products to Indian users. Among these offerings is the BeeStation NAS setup that allows you to create your own cloud instantly. There’s also the BeeDrive, a pocket-sized personal backup hub that can let you backup photos, videos, and other files to access them from anywhere.
