Samsung Reveals Bold AI Plans with Galaxy AI, Hybrid Processing, and Enhanced Security Features

Galaxy AI

Samsung, the Korean tech powerhouse, has unveiled an ambitious roadmap to elevate artificial intelligence (AI) across its Galaxy devices, with a sharp focus on personalization and security. In a recent announcement, Kim Dae-hyun, Director at Samsung Research’s Global AI Center, underscored Samsung’s commitment to user-centric AI, showcased through Galaxy AI—a suite of advanced, intelligent features built for Galaxy devices.

A core element of this strategy is personalized AI, which tailors functionality to suit each user’s individual needs. By leveraging knowledge graph technology, Samsung aims to create an AI experience that intuitively adapts to users’ unique behaviours and preferences. This innovative technology, paired with Samsung’s generative AI capabilities, is expected to deliver highly customized experiences, such as fitness tracking for health enthusiasts or optimized navigation for avid travellers.

Samsung’s approach also incorporates a hybrid AI model that combines on-device and cloud-based processing. This dual-layered strategy is designed to balance performance with privacy: tasks requiring rapid processing can occur in the cloud, while more sensitive operations stay exclusively on the device. Already integrated within Galaxy AI, this model promises smooth, low-latency user experiences without sacrificing data security.

Security remains a cornerstone of Samsung’s AI vision. Its proprietary Knox Matrix security framework currently protects Samsung smartphones and smart TVs, and the company is now planning to extend this protection to other connected home appliances, aiming to build a cohesive, secure ecosystem across its product lineup.

On the horizon, Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Ultra has emerged on Geekbench, showcasing the power of Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The latest benchmark results hint at a robust performance boost, suggesting that Samsung’s next flagship could deliver substantial upgrades across the board.
