WWDC 2023

WWDC 2023 will be held from June 5 to June 9 in an online format. However, the first day of the event will be a physical event at Apple Park in California. The tech giant has revealed that developers and students will be able to attend the physical event which will feature a keynote and a State of the Union address which will also be telecast for online participants. Both online and offline events are available to attend for free but there are space limitations in place for the latter.

The online programme will include sessions, one-on-one labs and a chance to interact with Apple engineers and other developers. The company is additionally holding a Swift Student Challenge this year for people who love to code.

It is expected that Apple will introduce iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10 at this year’s WWDC. Additionally, the much anticipated Reality Pro AR Headset is also expected to make its debut during the event. However, no confirmation about the same has been made by Apple.

Reports suggest that the upcoming AR/VR headset is set to be a standalone device. The company is reportedly using specialized chipsets which are comparable to Apple’s Macbook laptops. It will be interesting to see this device finally make its way to the mainstream market after months of leaks and anticipation.
