OnePlus 11R – The OnePlus redemption

OnePlus track record aside, the OnePlus 11 series, with the launch of the flagship OnePlus 11 first, followed by the OnePlus 11R, is a mighty impressive product range. The OnePlus 10R was, for better or for worse forgettable. The design was a straight-up copy, and the software was a nightmare. This year OnePlus is back to redeem itself among global users. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus 11R, the budget OnePlus flagship product, second to the OnePlus 11 in command. We shall take a look at the OnePlus 11R, arguably the most refined iteration of any OnePlus product in its history. At INR 39,999/- this phone is a flagship killer, and the one it kills is none other than the OnePlus 11 5G.

Big boy design

The OnePlus 11R looks almost identical to the OnePlus 11, and that in itself is impressive. From afar, it is practically impossible to identify the 11 from its 11R variant. Unlike the OnePlus 11, the 11R features a matte sandstone polycarbonate texture at its rear with glossy plastic sides designed to look impressive and feel lighter. The most impressive part of the design is the inclusion of a neatly curved 6.74-inch S-AMOLED adaptive 120Hz panel with FHD+ resolution. More on that later. Alert slider and IR sensor appeal to an exciting flagship design. Despite being priced in the upper midrange segment, this phone visually appeals as an entry-level flagship device from OnePlus.

Wow, display with powerful stereo sound.

The OnePlus 11R features a brighter 6.74-inch FHD+ adaptive refresh rate (40-120Hz) Super AMOLED HDR 10+ panel with more brightness than the OnePlus 11 5G at 1450nits. It also features 100% DCI-P3 colour reproduction and good sunlight visibility compared to the flagship OnePlus 11. Viewing content and playing multimedia on this phone is nothing short of a flagship experience. This is quite surprising for the price and coupled with the stereo speakers where the earpiece doubles up as a channel for stereo output, the display and sound are top-tier grades to say the least. OnePlus 11R makes no compromises on the display and sound features offering more than one can expect for the price.

Flagship performance

Powered by the updated Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and up to 16GB LPDDRX5 RAM on fast UFS 128GB or 256GB storage, the OnePlus 11R breezes through day-to-day tasks. Demanding gaming titles are no stress for this SoC. This is much better than the usual Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which has issues like overheating, throttling and other performance hurdles. The phone stays relatively cooler than most other phones in its category despite hours of gameplay, downloads, video playback and recording. Couple that with an excellent HDR-rich display, and OnePlus has a winner on their side this time around. Consider this the second-best chip after the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 featured in the OnePlus 11 5G and other top-tier flagship phones. Something as demanding as Genshin Impact was smooth for hours with graphic settings at high and 60fps. Mesmerising flagship performance at an affordable price. Call and data quality was at par with the flagship devices of the realm despite missing out on Wifi-7, IP ratings and wireless charging capabilities.

Color OS made for OnePlus = Oxygen OS

The OnePlus 11R features Oxygen OS based on Android 13. OnePlus commits to 3-year updates on the 11R compared to 4 years on the OnePlus 11. There are tonnes of customizations for making this phone unique to each user, while many other technical features seem overly simplified! Camera app, for instance, does not allow for any megapixel or resolution customizations, while the IR blaster comes in handy when required. Split screen, flexible windows and smart sidebar allow improved gesture-operated functionality on a large gorgeous display. Quick launch allows quick app access from a long press on the fast in-display fingerprint sensor. The UI is snappy and loaded with themes for fonts, sounds, and many other customizations. App performance is at par with the flagships of this era. Haptic feedback is satisfactory and customisable, while the games app brings consolidated support for all games installed. Performance enhancements include 4D vibrations, smart network switching and enhanced multi-touch response.

A much improved but lackluster camera setup

The primary sensor on the OnePlus 11R is similar to the primary sensor on the OnePlus 11 – 50MP OIS IMX890. Although it misses the Hasselblad text, the performance is identical, thanks to the shared algorithms. Colors, saturation, and details are retained in both day and low light. The hi-Res mode allows for 50MP shots with good detail capture. While the main sensor allows 4K 60fps recording, the 8MP Ultrawide is below average and limited to 1080p 60fps shooting. The 2MP macro sensor is meh, and nothing impressive here. The front 16MP fixed focus camera is decent in the day and low light with AI enhancements and auto HDR on all the camera modes. Overall, the OIS and EIS-enabled primary sensor is worth considering for multiple lighting conditions. This is not a camera-centric phone, but the latest Sony IMX890 sensor is excellent as a primary camera on the OnePlus 11R.

Sprinter running a marathon.

The 5000mAh battery and the efficient yet powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 bring good battery life to the OnePlus 11R. It easily suffices hours of high-fidelity gameplay, content viewing and camera usage. What’s insane is the inclusion of a Supervooc S charger inside the box enabling 100W charge speeds. This is precisely similar to the elder sibling, the OnePlus 11 5G. The OnePlus 11R features a brighter but FHD+ resolution on the SAMOLED panel but an efficient chipset and lesser resolution than the 2K displays of the realm; the OnePlus 11R enjoys good battery life and innate peace of mind with super fast charging speeds.

This is the OnePlus that kills flagships.

OnePlus 11R is the prime example for everyone who missed the OnePlus flagship-killer moniker. Priced at less than INR 40K for the base model and slightly more for the 16GB RAM variant, the OnePlus 11R is a quintessential example of the OnePlus smartphones of the past. The design retains all the flagship features with arguably more durable materials and miles of improvement from its predecessor. If you are someone who wants flagship performance and design but at a sensible price, there is nothing like the OnePlus 11R as of now.

Smart Tech for Smart Kids: Samsung’s Bixby Goes Child-Friendly

Samsung’s brainchild Bixby still exists, and we hope you’re aware of it, though it is not as popular as Siri. Bixby is a virtual assistant designed to make life easier for users by performing tasks through voice commands. With the latest update, Samsung has made Bixby available for kids as well, with an aim to make it easier for parents to use their devices without worrying about what their kids might access or see.

Bixby for kids is a child-friendly version of the virtual assistant with features that are appropriate for children. It can perform tasks like setting reminders, playing music and even answering questions in a child-friendly manner. Parents can now have peace of mind knowing that their children are interacting with a safe and appropriate virtual assistant.

Children often use simpler language and phrases, and Bixby for kids can recognise these and respond in a way that makes sense to the child. For example, if a child asks, “what’s the weather like outside?” Bixby for kids will respond with a simple answer that is easy for the child to understand.

Another important feature of Bixby for kids is that it is customisable. Parents can set up Bixby to only respond to certain commands, making it easier for children to use. For example, parents can set up Bixby to only play certain songs or answer specific questions. This way, children can use Bixby without worrying about accidentally accessing inappropriate content.

In addition to its child-friendly features, Bixby for kids also has educational capabilities. It can help children learn new things by answering their questions in a way that is easy for them to understand. Bixby can also provide fun and educational games that children can play to help them learn while having fun.

Overall, Samsung’s decision to make Bixby available for kids is a smart move. With the rise of voice assistants and virtual assistants, it is important to have a child-friendly option that parents can trust. Bixby for kids is an excellent tool for parents who want to give their children access to technology while still being in control of what their children see and hear.

Review – OnePlus 11 5G – Striving to Settle

When OnePlus launched its first-ever smartphone, it grabbed a lot of attention. Since then, they had a flourishing journey until they decided to hop on the flagship segment. The company had a tough 2022 as their flagship device OnePlus 10 Pro, failed to impress the consumers, but thanks to the OnePlus 10T, a mid-life revision of the OnePlus 10 Pro, a smartphone that rescued OnePlus from having a mid-life crisis and helped them to stay in the game. Now, it’s time to see what the OnePlus 11 5G brings to the table, a much-needed relief or the undesired path of downfall?

Design

OnePlus lost the tag of flagship killer a long ago, and now the company is trying hard to survive in the much competitive market. The OnePlus 11 5G arrives with IP64 equivalent protection for dust and splash resistance and few other significant changes, especially on the backside, where it has a strange-looking large camera unit but in a round shape. The phone boasts a punch-hole camera placed on the extreme left of the screen, volume buttons on the left profile, a lock key on the right, along with a comeback of an alert slider.

Display

The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch 2K resolution 120Hz AMOLED screen and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Sounds like a good display, but that’s limited to the closed doors. As soon as you walk outside in the sun, even in full brightness, you won’t be able to see what’s on your screen! The OnePlus 11 5G is the first android smartphone that arrives with LTPO 3.0 technology, which assists the phone in switching between different refresh rates in a power-efficient manner.

Cameras

The OnePlus 11 5G features a triple camera set-up of 50 MP, f/1.8, 24-mm wide lens, 32 MP, f/2.0, 48mm telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and 48 MP, f/2.2, ultrawide lens. The camera housing of the OnePlus 11 features some shimmering dust-like particles, which are quite noticeable and a bit strange. The main cameras of the OnePlus 11 5G support video shooting of up to 8K-24fps, while the ultra-wide supports 4k-30fps, and the telephoto supports only 1080P-30fps.

The main camera of the OnePlus 11 5G does a decent job of taking pictures, but it needs camera updates because the output seems more vibrant than required. The device sports a 16 MP selfie camera with Auto-HDR and allows you to shoot at 1080p-30fps. The output of the selfie camera seems better compared to the previous OnePlus smartphones. About the night mode, the device offers good results with all the colour details.

Performance

The OnePlus 11 5G arrives with Android 13 out of the box and is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the fastest available chipset in the market. The latest processor from Qualcomm glides the device through everyday chores with ease and handles heavy tasks effortlessly. The smartphone we received was loaded with 16GB RAM + 4GB VRAM with 256 GB storage. The brand offers 4 generations of OxygenOS and 5 years of security updates for the OnePlus 11 5G. The device has support for 13 5G bands, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 7, which will soon be available in India.

Battery

The smartphone arrives with a 5000 mAh, 100w SuperVOOC fast charger, which promises a full charge in 25 minutes and takes only 5 minutes to reach the 30% mark. When it comes to normal usages, like 2 hours of content watching, 2 hours of social media and a few things here and there, the battery lasts for about a day. However, the battery surrenders quite quickly when you use the device extensively. Overall, the battery seems good for moderate-level usage, and for heavy use, carry the brick along.

Verdict

The design language of the OnePlus 11 5G is quite good, as it has a matte finish back panel and a different camera set-up. When it comes to camera and performance, the device outsmarts the moderate requirements. While the display of the smartphone is great if you are more concerned about refresh rate, prefer to stay inside, and like to watch OTT content. However, if you are into the outdoors, heavy gaming, camera-centric and power consumption, then please look elsewhere.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Review: Midrange Winner?

The Redmi Note series has undoubtedly been Xiaomi’s trump card in the Indian market. The series has been beloved by Indian consumers for the longest time as it is usually placed in the budget segment and offers great value for the price. This time around with the Redmi Note 12 series, things were a little different. While the Redmi Note 11 Pro was introduced at ₹16,999 in India, its successor was introduced at a hefty asking price of ₹24,999 pushing it to the midrange section. So, does the Redmi Note 12 Pro justify its price? Let’s find out –

Design and Display

The Redmi Note 12 Pro sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels. It sports a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Running the device on 120Hz offers a buttery smooth experience. The display is also equipped with HDR10+ support that works beautifully for YouTube, Netflix and other OTT platforms. A rarity in this price segment is the Dolby Vision support which is a treat to the eyes while streaming content on YouTube. Adaptive refresh rate allows the device to switch between 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz depending on content. I watched hours’ worth of content on the Redmi 12 Pro and there was never a dull moment. The display produces punchy colours and ample brightness for an immersive viewing experience. The tiny punch-hole camera sits at the top of the screen which doesn’t intrude while watching content. Above the display rests the earpiece that also doubles as a secondary speaker. The in-hand feel of the device is superb and it’s built like a flat brick. It is just 76mm wide and 7.98mm thick weighing 187 grams which makes it easy to hold.

Performance and Camera

The Redmi Note 12 Pro runs on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC chipset. The D1080 is paired with 6 or 8GB of RAM, the device we used was the 8GB RAM variant coupled with 256GB storage onboard. The 12 Pro also gets RAM expansion of up to 5GB of virtual memory. Sadly, the device sports Android 12 out of the box which is a disappointment. However, Xiaomi has promised an Android 13 update. With the D1080 and 8GB of RAM, day-to-day tasks like social media and streaming content on the device were a smooth ride. While playing graphics-heavy games like COD on the Redmi Note 12 Pro, some frame drops were experienced but they were negligible. Overall, the device provided a stable performance overall. It packs a large 5000mAh battery that can be juiced up with a 67W charger.

Redmi Note 12 Pro houses a 50-MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor which is its highlight. The same sensor was present in yesteryear’s multiple devices with impressive results. It also includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. It houses a 16MP camera in the front for selfies. The primary camera of this device is capable of clicking some awesome photos with crisp details. Some over-saturation could be witnessed during low-exposure shots. Check out the camera samples of the Redmi Note 12 Pro below –

Verdict

The Redmi Note 12 is a capable device that can pretty much handle everything you throw at it. There are some features like Dolby Vision and adaptive refresh rate that are usually not present in devices at this price point. While it is a solid option for people looking for a device under ₹30K, I am not sure about it being the best value for your money.

What’s Good

  • Amazing screen with adaptive brightness
  • Battery life
  • Smooth performance
  • Dolby Vision

What’s Bad

  • Android 12
  • Bloatware

OPPO Reno 8T 5G review: Eye Candy!

The month of February will be seeing a plethora of releases in the smartphone category. While OnePlus will be launching its much-awaited OnePlus 11, Samsung will be launching the S23 series. Between the noise of big releases, OPPO has found its own voice and launched the OPPO Reno 8T 5G. The Reno series has been OPPO’s midrange champion bringing capable devices at the apt price point. Keeping true to the Reno branding comes the 8T 5G which increases the style quotient to a considerable degree. Check out what we think about the OPPo Reno 8T 5G below –

OPPO Reno 8T specifications

The OPPO Reno 8T 5G comes with the budget king chipset – Snapdragon 695. It sports a 32MP selfie camera and 108MP primary camera coupled with a 2MP depth and a 40x microscopic lens. It comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a slim 7.7mm size. Reno 8T 5G also flaunts a 120Hz refresh rate and a 4800mAh battery that is powered by 67W Supervooc charging. It comes with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage options.

What’s Good

During our extensive testing of the device, the USP of the Reno 8T 5G was undoubtedly its slim design and curved display. There’s no doubt that the curved display screams flagship even in 2023 and OPPO implements it beautifully. it is not just how the display curves but also how well it performs. Watching YouTube videos and films on OTT is a treat on this device. There’s widevine L1 support here that allows users to stream HD content on Netflix/prime. The entertainment experience on this device is only made better with its stereo speakers and the Loud ultra volume mode that boosts the audio level to 200, this is the first time I’ve seen a device do this and I am blown away.

The camera here is a 108mp primary portrait camera coupled with 2mp depth and 40x microlens that is capable of clicking some amazing shots. There’s also dual view video mode that shoots videos from both the front and back at the same time. Check out some camera samples below –

The 67W Supervooc charging is fast, however, we received an 80W charger in the box which was confusing, to say the least. The sunrise gold variant with its chameleon-like colour-changing design is a visual trip.

What’s bad

I am not saying that the Snapdragon 695 is a bad processor to any degree as many budget and midrange devices sport it flawlessly. But at a price point where other players are offering let’s say, a Dimensity 1080, this falls a little short. There are not too many bad points when it comes to the OPPO Reno 8T 5G as it’s definitely a device to flaunt but the Color OS with its out-of-the-box bloatware is a sight that sores the eyes.

Verdict

The OPPO Reno 8T 5G is a stylish device that is built for users who like to flaunt their smartphones. The ‘Eye Candy’ factor in this smartphone can easily become the sole purpose people go for it. The curved and punchy display coupled with capable performance makes up for a balanced experience with the OPPO Reno 8T 5G.

Top 5 Upcoming Smartphones to look forward to in 2023

Another year is about to go down, and we’re on the verge of entering a new one. Last year, we witnessed hundreds of smartphone launches, from affordable flagships to folding smartphones, from everything to nothing. Now, it’s time to look ahead and here are all the best upcoming smartphone launches we expect to see in 2023.

Samsung Galaxy S23

Every year, Samsung launches the best of their smartphones at the annual unpacked event. According to trusted tipsters, the company might launch the Galaxy S23 series smartphones at the event, which is expected to happen in February. The series includes three smartphones Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Like always, there won’t be massive changes in terms of design, but there’ll be some hardware improvements. The series is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is built on the 4nm fabrication process by TSMC and might come with a 200MP primary rear camera. The Galaxy S23 series smartphones could start at around ₹80,000.

OnePlus 11 Pro

OnePlus would start its 2023 journey with a flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 11, and it is expected to come with typical high-end features like Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Android 13 OS out of the box, cameras powered by and fine-tuned using Hasselblad technologies and more. The smartphone is believed to sport a 6.7-inch 2K LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and two variants – 8GB/128GB and 12GB RAM/256GB storage.

Google Pixel Fold

We have been waiting for the launch of Google Pixel Fold for the last couple of years, but there’s no sign of the launch, yet we’re excited about it every year. According to recently leaked Pixel phone plans, the company might launch the Pixel 7a (codename “lynx”) and Pixel Fold (codename “felix”) in the Google I/O event in April or May 2023.

OnePlus Nord 3

OnePlus is planning to launch the OnePlus Nord CE 3 in Feb 2023, which will succeed the Nord CE 2, which was launched earlier this year with MediaTek Dimensity 900 and triple rear cameras. The leaked design of the Nord 3 looks like it is heavily inspired by the OnePlus’ famous OnePlus X and recent iPhones. The smartphone is expected to boast a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and would be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the best folding phone we’ve ever seen, and if the rumours are right, the South Korean company will launch the Z Fold 5 in 2023. The 5th gen fold from Samsung is expected to arrive with an even slimmer design, faster charging, and a built-in S-Pen. Hope, it will come with an invisible crease in the centre.

EU wants replaceable batteries on smartphones

Do you remember the time when you’d drop your phone and it would break open with the back panel and battery scattering like lego pieces? If you’re old enough, you’ll surely recall a time when cell phones were not the sealed metal and glass slabs they are today. They could be easily opened up and the SIM slots were actually inside as opposed to the SIM trays we have now. But most importantly, the battery of the smartphone devices could easily be swapped out for a new one. A battery replacement for newer smartphones is actually a task as wanting slimmer and water-resistant devices has made sealed phones a norm. However, it looks like the high of forcing global tech giants to shift the USB Type-C via a mandate has made the EU confident about having removable batteries in the future.

EU rules on replaceable batteries

The EU recently made USB-C mandatory on smartphones sold in the EU specifically. This move was later reported to be followed by a number of other countries. While the Type-C mandate will go into effect in 2024, the EU is now targeting batteries citing similar sustainability and e-waste control reasons. EU not just wants smartphones to feature easily replaceable batteries but is pushing for the entire life cycle of batteries to be changed. EU states that at least 16% of cobalt, 85% of lead and 6% of lithium contained in a battery should be obtained from recycled sources.

While it is impossible to implement a drastic change like this overnight, the EU has given companies 3.5 years after the legislation is passed to redesign batteries that users can easily remove and replace themselves. In today’s scenario, when a mobile user experiences their battery dying out quickly, replacing them becomes a hassle. Users have to pay exorbitant prices for a battery swap if their device is no longer under warranty which pushes them to buy a new device. Thus, adding on e-waste. It will be interesting to see how tech giants like Apple, Google, and Samsung respond to this change by the EU.

Samsung launched two budget smartphones in India – Galaxy A04 & A04e

Samsung officially tosses two budget smartphones, the Galaxy A04 and Galaxy A04e, to the Indian market. The company has decided not to partner with Amazon or Flipkart for the sale of these smartphones. They will only be available on the Samsung India website and select retail stores across India.

The budget smartphone duo sports a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD Infinity-V display with 1560×720 pixels of screen resolution. Overall, both smartphones are pretty similar except for the camera setup; the Galaxy A04 is rigged with a 50MP dual rear camera, while the Galaxy A04e arrives with a 13MP dual camera setup.

The A04 series smartphones are powered by MediaTek Helio P35 CPU and have a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz. The Galaxy A04 is available in two variants – 4GB+64GB at Rs 11,999 and 4GB+128GB at Rs 12,999, while the A04e is available in three variants – 3GB+32GB at Rs 9,299, 3GB+64GB at Rs 9,999, and 4GB+128 GB at Rs 11,499.

The Infinity-V display of the smartphones resembles a waterdrop notch. The A04 series smartphones will come with a 5MP front camera to capture selfies and have a back depth live focus camera. Both smartphones feature Adaptive Power Saving mode and have a Type-C charger in the packaging.

The A04 series smartphones will arrive with the Android 12 full version out of the box and pack a 5000mAh battery. The A04 smartphone will be available in three colour options – Green, Copper and Black, while the A04e smartphone will be available in two colour options – Light Blue and Copper. The sale of the smartphone will begin on 20th December.

First Impressions – OnePlus launched a 55” Y1S Pro 4K TV at ₹39,999

Every smartphone-making company has been driven by the idea of having its ecosystem only to have a strong base of customers and, of course, revenue. OnePlus ventured into the business of earbuds, wearables, headphones and smart TVs in recent times. The company tasted success in all fields, and to reach more people, they launched several affordable products. The list includes Nord smartphones, Nord Buds, Nord Watch and Y Series televisions.

Today, OnePlus launched a new TV belonging to the company’s Y series – a 55-inch Y1S Pro TV, a follow-up to the brand’s 50-inch Y series TV that debuted on 4th July 2022. The affordable series is popularly known for offering minimum but necessary features. The 55-inch OnePlus TV offers one of the massive screens consumers can buy for around ₹40-45k and serves the same purpose as its siblings, along with a few new features.

Design & Display

The latest addition to the OnePlus’ Y series lineup boasts a 4K display with a premium bezel-less design. It provides you with an edge-to-edge screening experience with catchy visuals. The 4K TV is delivered with a sturdy base stand and a beautiful design that accentuates the beauty of your living room.

The TV features various picture modes, such as AI picture, vivid, eye comfort, movies, HDR10+ and sports. With over a billion colours, the 4K TV offers 10-bit colour depth and outstanding colour accuracy in every frame. However, in our observations, TV works best and provides an enjoyable viewing experience only in movies and eye comfort mode.

Audio

In terms of sound quality, the TV has speakers that can produce up to 24W of audio output, and it guarantees a well-balanced sound profile for a complete cinematic audio experience without missing any details. In addition to strong speakers, the TV supports Dolby Audio, which provides you with excellent sound capabilities and a genuine surround sound experience.

Connected Ecosystem

The TV can be connected to the OnePlus Smart Watch, from where you can turn it on and off. The smart sleep control feature of the TV lets you sleep peacefully. How? Once you fall asleep while watching the TV, it will automatically turn the TV off. In addition to a smartwatch, the TV can be connected to any OnePlus Buds to enjoy the truly connected ecosystem.

Thanks to the ecosystem, the TV can be connected to the OnePlus smartphones by using the app – OnePlus Connect 2.0. You can use your OnePlus smartphone as an alternate option for a remote. The features of the app can be utilised without Wi-Fi or a data connection and allow you to cast stored videos easily.

Modes

The TV offers AI-powered visuals and has an advanced Gamma Engine, which optimizes display quality to bring every scene to life, along with ultra-clear content with dynamic contrast and vibrant colour.  Along with various other modes, the TV has a few more special modes like Gaming Mode, which enables users with the special ALLM feature (Auto Low Latency Mode) to enjoy a faster and more interesting gaming experience with lower latency levels and Kids Mode, which allows your kids to consume healthy content.

Instagram’s ‘Account Suspended’ outage resolved

Imagine logging into your Instagram account expecting to interact with your daily feed. Instead, you’re prompted with the message “Instagram Account Suspended”. That is stuff made out of nightmares, to say the least! That was the case for a number of users on October 31, coincidentally on the eve of Halloween when they received a notification about their accounts getting suspended. Thousands also shared that they were unable to log in to their accounts entirely and also witnessed a massive drop in followers due to mass suspension. To our relief, Instagram’s outage issue has been resolved.

Instagram outage fixed

In an apology posted on Twitter, Instagram wrote “We’ve resolved this bug now — it was causing people in different parts of the world to have issues accessing their accounts and caused a temporary change for some in the number of followers. Sorry.” According to Instagram’s rules, the platform can disable certain accounts that violate community guidelines. The community guidelines include illegal content, bullying, hate speech, spam, and violating intellectual property rights. However, users who follow the community guidelines were also affected by the outage which took them by surprise.

It was not long after the outage when #InstagramDown started trending on Twitter and an outpour of memes was witnessed. Many content creators also started posting reels and stories making fun of the sudden followers drop. This Instagram outage came only a few days after Meta’s WhatsApp had also suffered a long downtime. Users were unable to send messages and upload status which resulted in #WhatsAppDown trending on Twitter.

Upcoming smartphones in India – November 2022

The festivities of Diwali may have come to an end and I hope you’ve had some of the best times of your life with friends and family. However, when it comes to the smartphone market in India, the festivities never seem to come to an end. Each month brings in a slew of new mobile devices and November is no different. Be it flagship or budget devices, there is definitely a device or two launching to fit each price category! Realme 10 4G

The company has officially revealed that will be hosting the Realme 10 launch event this month but the exact date of the same is still under wraps. Leaks around the internet claim that the upcoming device will feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen. The refresh rate of the device is still unknown. It will be backed by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and sport a 50MP camera coupled with a 2MP macro sensor. The front of the device is expected to rock a 16MP shooter. It will pack a 5000 mAh battery and support 33W fast charging. iQoo Neo 7

Vivo’s sub-brand iQoo has just recently launched the iQoo Neo 7, the successor to the previously launched neo 6. While the device is right now available only in China, it will be making its global launch in the coming month.

OnePlus Nord 3

OnePlus’ Nord brand has quickly become one of the front liners in the smartphone market in the midrange section. Doubling down on its Nord branding, OnePlus has unveiled the Nord N300 in the US. There is not much choice here when it comes to colors as it comes in only one shade – Midnight Jade. It is priced in the US at $228, which is roughly 19K in India. If released at the same price in India, it will make the OnePlus Nord 3 the cheapest offering by the company in the country. The new OnePlus device is expected to be launched in India in the fourth week of November.
