Thank You For Coming

Release Date – 6th October

Thank You For Coming is an upcoming chick-flick where a single woman in her early 30s navigates her quest to find her true love and pleasure with the help of her gang of girls. The adult comedy is directed by “Selection Day” fame ad film director Karan Boolani and had a premier at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. Produced by the makers of female-oriented films such as Aisha and Veere De Wedding, Thank You For Making stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead, along with Shehnaaz Gill, Shibani Bedi, Kusha Kapila, and Dolly Singh in supporting roles.

Mission Raniganj – The Great Bharat Rescue

Release Date – 6th October

After the success of OMG 2, Akshay Kumar is back with yet another movie inspired by a real-life hero. The upcoming survival thriller is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, known for directing the crime thriller “Rustom”, also starring Akshay Kumar in the lead. Mission Raniganj shows the courageous efforts of an engineer (Late Jaswant Singh Gill) who led a challenging rescue mission to save trapped miners from a flooded coal mine. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra, Ravi Kishan, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Pavan Malhotra, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.

Yaariyan 2

Release Date – 20th October

Bollywood lost its identity long back when celebrated producers started making a remake instead of looking for fresh stories. Yaariyan 2 is just another remake from the house of T-Series, a sequel to the 2014 movie Yaariyan and a remake of the 2014 released superhit Malayalam film Bangalore Days. The original film starred Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Nazim, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead and is known for its perfectly placed characterisation, while the remake stars Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jafri and Pearl Puri.

Leo

Release Date – 19th October

The craze of South Indian cinema and the fanbase of their superstars is unmatched. Since the success of Bahubali, most of the big banner South Indian films are having Pan-India releases. Leo is the third film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) after the huge success of Kaithi (2021) and Vikram (2022). The upcoming action thriller tells the story of a family man who has to face his violent past and stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead alongside Trisha and Sanjay Dutt, while the music of the movie is composed by the modern-day musical maestro Anirudh Ravichander.

Killers of the Flower Moon

Release Date – 20th October

After having a film-making career spanning over 50 years, Martin Scorsese finally decided to venture into the world of Western films. And that too by casting two of his most frequently collaborated actors, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. It will surely go down in the list of one of the best Western films ever made. The upcoming crime drama is set in the early 1920s and is based on the 2017 book of the same name by David Grann, which depicts the grim murders of the oil-wealthy Osage tribe in Oklahoma.

Ganapath: A Hero is Born

Release Date – 20th October

Everyone wants to have their own universe, and Ganapath: A Hero is Born is just another addition. Helmed by the critically acclaimed director Vikas Bahl, Ganapath stars Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. It is reported to have a budget of over ₹200 crore and is produced by Vikas Bahl under his banner, Good Co, in association with Pooja Entertainment. It is India’s first dystopian action film and has undergone a long, heavy pre-production stage since it was announced in November 2020.

12th Fail

Release Date – 27th October

Failure is a part of life, and the movie 12th Fail is a tribute to the people who view failure as an opportunity. The movie provides a glimpse into the life of UPSC students, their grit, and integrity; it stars Vikrant Massey in the lead. The plot of the movie is based on Anurag Pathak’s best-selling novel, Twelfth Fail: Hara Vahi Jo Lada Nahi, which showcases the incredible journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi. 12th Fail is directed by the celebrated director and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra in association with Zee Studios.
