Gaming and sports entertainment are all set to collide this month as part of a new crossover event, even as WWE has teamed up with Supercell’s mobile gaming juggernaut, Clash of Clans. With more than two billion downloads to its name, Clash of Clans is no stranger to global cultural moments, but this latest collaboration promises to be one of its boldest yet.
As part of this collaboration, some of WWE’s most iconic Superstars are stepping out of the ring and into the battlefield of Clash of Clans, transformed into fan-favorite characters. The lineup includes Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes as the formidable “Barbarian King,” Rhea Ripley as the “Archer Queen,” The Undertaker as “Grand Warden,” Bianca Belair as “Royal Champion,” and more. The event will kick off on April 1 and run throughout the month, bringing with it a flurry of WWE-themed game elements, including character skins, interactive environments, Easter eggs, and limited-time events celebrating WWE’s legacy.
WrestleMania 41 will be where this partnership will reach its grand climax. Set to take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, WWE’s flagship event will feature an enhanced Clash of Clans-themed match sponsorship that will blur the lines between virtual and real-world spectacle.
According to Sara Bach, Head of Live Games at Supercell, this collaboration is unlike anything they’ve done before. “When the game team found out Cody Rhodes and other Superstars were long-time Clash of Clans fans, they didn’t hesitate. This partnership spans from our game, played by tens of millions, to the grand stage of WrestleMania—it’s a first-of-its-kind experience.”
Whether you’re a seasoned Clan leader or a die-hard wrestling fan, this April’s Clash of Clans event promises high-octane thrills, fan service galore, and a true merging of titans.
