PROS 👍

CONS 👎

Getting a new gadget without breaking the bank always hits differently, that’s just one of the perks of being a reviewer. The Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 is a dreamy laptop, thanks to its sleek design, matte finish, and 360° hinges, they make it both stylish and versatile. The Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 is not a laptop everyone buys, and that’s the sole reason the laptop has been priced at ₹2,95,500, but is it worth the price? Let’s find out.

Here's an in-depth review of Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 laptop

Dell Latitude 9450 : Design

Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 is what every business folk desires to have. The perfectly crafted laptop looks as elegant as a swan – thanks to its simple and stylish design, which features a matte finish and soft texture. The Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 notebook is one of the best-looking laptops I have reviewed in recent times. With sharp metal edges, a super smooth trackpad, a velvety keyboard deck and hinges that rotate 360°, the laptop ensures that it is built like a tank to handle the wear and tear of daily work life.

Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1

The company claims the Latitude 9450 2-in-1 laptop is the most compact 14-inch business laptop in the market, almost as thin as the MacBook Pro 14-inch M3. The laptop works fine when used as a tablet, except for the fact that sometimes the sharp edges bite into your wrists. It costs a lot to buy this laptop, and the brand should consider taking a look at these little things. It doesn’t have a lot of port options – three Thunderbolt-4 Type-C ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack, that’s all it sports. It would have been a great deal if it had full-sized HDMI or USB Type-A ports.

Dell Latitude 9450: Display

The Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 arrives with a remarkable 14-inch QHD+ (2560×1600 resolution) IPS touchscreen. The laptop sports a 16:10 aspect ratio with thin bezels and offers a peak brightness of 500 nits with anti-smudge and anti-reflect coating. The tall-looking display offers a never-seen experience while working on Docs and Sheets. The IPS display is vibrant and colour-accurate but doesn’t flaunt deep blacks like the OLED display. The laptop is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate, and considering its price point, it somehow disappoints.

When turned into tablet mode, it offers exponential real estate, necessary for people who sketch and draw. The display is also equipped with ComfortView+, a feature that reduces the amount of blue light emitted from the panel, making it comfortable for the eyes. When it comes to speakers of the 14-inch laptop, it smacks the ball out of the park and makes the loudest sound amongst all the 14-inch laptops. I binge-watched Mirzapur S3 on this laptop, and the experience with display and sound output was as amazing as Ali Fazal’s performance in the series.

Dell Latitude 9450: Keyboard, Trackpad and Webcam

The initial days with the keyboard were quite wishy-washy as I moved from a 16-inch laptop to a 14-inch laptop, but as the days went on, the keyboard turned out to be one of the best aspects of the Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 laptop. The zero-lattice keyboard offers a great travel time between keys and the super smooth palm-rest allows you to have a comfortable typing experience. It has a great backlit lighting that works fine in a dimly lit environment. The haptic trackpad of a 2-in-1 laptop is spacious and somewhat close to what Apple offers in its MacBooks.

The FHD IR webcam of the 2-in-1 laptop is positioned at the top of the lid and offers clear output to get the job done. The webcam is equipped with a built-in privacy shutter, and the features can be found under the Presence Detection tab in the Dell Optimizer app. Once you turn on the Onlooker Detection mode (from the Dell Optimizer app), your screen will be covered with a pattern every time someone peeps at your display. The app includes a couple of other features like automatic locking, look away dim and walk away lock.

Dell Latitude 9450: Performance

The Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 is a powerhouse of performance and versatility. It features Intel’s latest Core Ultra 7 165U processor, boasting 12 cores (2 Performance, 8 Efficient, and 2 Low Power Efficient) and 14 threads, with a maximum boost clock of 4.9GHz. Complementing this is 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, ensuring rapid data access and smooth multitasking.

Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1

One standout feature is the integrated Intel AI Boost, a dedicated NPU for local AI tasks, running at 1.4GHz. It excels in daily tasks, running applications like Chrome and Amazon Prime Video effortlessly. The Latitude 9450 delivers respectable gaming performance, though serious gamers might prefer a device with a dedicated GPU. Overall, the Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 is a solid choice for professionals needing reliable performance and versatility.

Dell Latitude 9450: Battery

The Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 laptop features a 3-cell 60Wh battery, delivering around 7 hours of typical usage. In our battery test, it achieved roughly 10 hours, which is decent for a compact laptop. Given its performance, the battery life is way too good. The included 65W USB-C charger is a major plus, taking only about an hour and a half to fully charge the laptop, making it a solid option for those needing reliable battery life.

Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1

Verdict

The Dell Latitude 9450 2-in-1 impresses with its elegant design and robust build, making it perfect for business individuals. Its stunning QHD+ display and superior audio enhance multimedia experiences, while the Intel Core Ultra 7 165U processor ensures top-notch performance. Though it lacks some port options and has sharp edges, its overall functionality and speedy charging make it a great choice for professionals seeking a blend of style and efficiency.
