Last week, while chatting on WhatsApp, most people noticed a shiny blue circle at the top. Of all those people, only a few curious minds dared to explore and discovered it’s not a random feature but a Meta AI chatbot. The company has been testing the possibilities of a Meta AI chatbot for a few months in India, and recently, they officially rolled it out to users. But what’s the purpose of having a Meta AI on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook? Let’s know it together.
The Purpose
Like every chatbot, such as Gemini AI and ChatGPT, Meta AI was built to make our lives easier in a tech way. Open WhatsApp and click on the blue ring of Meta AI, and a new chat will open with the name Meta AI on the top and a few suggestions in the middle to help you understand what it offers. In addition to the provided search options, you can ask Meta AI anything you want, and it will access real-time information from across the web without having to bounce between apps.
Here’s how to use Meta AI
Suppose you click on one of the options, ‘Tips for Long Road Trips,’ and a new chat will begin where Meta AI chatbot will guide you through what you asked.
Now, if you’re not happy with the provided answer, then ask Meta AI to help you with a few more tips, and it will revert back with more tips. You can ask Meta AI anything that you usually search on Google except things that are prohibited by societal norms. Along with helping you provide tips, suggestions, diet plans, recipes, and recommendations, the Meta AI can create stunning AI images, where it kind of excels, even though it is at the basic stage.
You can ask Meta AI to imagine things like – Imagine a cat driving a vintage car on a busy Goan road, and it will turn your thoughts into an AI-generated image. The chatbot also allows users to turn their AI-generated images into animated GIFs. To turn your images into GIFs, type make it animated below your AI-generated image, and within a few seconds, you will have an animated GIF of the image.
Use Meta AI to Summarise the Text
You can use Meta AI to summarise long texts such as articles and press releases. For example, I asked Meta AI to summarise one of the articles written on our website, and it summarised it in a very slick manner, like providing the details of the article without losing the core of it. However, one should rely completely on AI-summarised articles as they might miss out on the details that only a human mind can tackle. Don’t forget AI is created by humans, and not vice versa.
Just like WhatsApp, Meta AI can be used on Instagram and Facebook. To use it on Instagram, follow these steps: Open the Instagram App > Open your Chats > Click on the Pencil icon. In the suggestions, you will find a Meta AI chatbot, click on it and explore. On Facebook, you will find Meta AI while scrolling through your Facebook Feed.
Yeah bookmaking this wasn’t a high risk decision outstanding post! .
