Amazon has officially unveiled the all-new Echo Spot in India, expanding its range of Alexa-enabled Echo devices. This smart alarm clock combines sleek design with advanced functionality, offering a variety of customizable clock faces and colourful display options.
With Echo Spot’s compact design, users can easily set and view alarms to check the time, weather, and even song titles at a glance. The device delivers vibrant sound thanks to its directional speaker, making it an ideal addition to any bedside table. The new night mode feature allows users to effortlessly check the time during the night without disrupting their sleep.

Customers frequently use Alexa for information, from weather updates to trivia and recipe assistance. Echo Spot features eight custom-designed clock faces, new visual animations, and fun colour themes, making it easy to see various responses at a glance. Users can personalize the 2.83″ touch-screen display to match their bedroom aesthetics, choosing from six different colour themes: orange, violet, magenta, lime, teal, and blue.
Echo Spot also offers customizable alarms, allowing users to wake up to their favourite music or one of four new alarm sounds: Aurora, Daybreak, Endeavor, and Flutter. A simple voice command like “Alexa, set a weekday alarm for 7 am with devotional songs” is all it takes. If users want to snooze, they can ask Alexa or tap the device.
The Echo Spot is equipped with a 1.73″ front-firing speaker, Echo Spot provides clear vocals and deep bass for an immersive audio experience. Users can request music, podcasts, and audiobooks from platforms such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and JioSaavn (subscription may be required). The colourful display also showcases song titles, and users can skip tracks easily by asking Alexa or tapping the screen.
Echo Spot seamlessly integrates with compatible smart home products, allowing users to create Alexa Routines that automate daily tasks with a single voice command. For instance, a morning routine can gradually light the room while playing music, while an evening routine can dim lights and prepare for a movie night. The Alexa app allows users to set these routines effortlessly. With Ultrasound Motion Detection, the Echo Spot can also trigger smart lights or play music when someone enters the room, enhancing the smart home experience.
In addition to its alarm features, Echo Spot enables users to place audio calls to other Alexa-enabled devices, send household announcements, or even use the Drop In feature for instant communication with family members.
