Samsung Galaxy A36 5G’s Design Leaked By CAD Renders

It seems like we’ve just had our first glimpse of the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G. Purported design renders of the upcoming handset have seeped into the open, suggesting that the South Korean giant will be taking a different design approach this time around.

The leaked renders have come via tipster Steve H. McFly (@Onleaks), who has shared them via Giznext. They show that the Galaxy A36 5G could come with a flat display bearing a hole punch cutout for the selfie camera. As for the rear surface, there’s a big change there, with the triple camera setup having been arranged in a pill-shaped structure. On its predecessor, these cameras were placed in separate enclosures. That said, the flash doesn’t seem to have moved positions.

The side surfaces don’t seem very different to those of the Galaxy A35 5G, but there are reports that the phone could opt for a fingerprint sensor on its power button instead of an under-display one. It’s being said that the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G could get a relatively slim profile with dimensions of 162.6 x 77.9 x 7.4mm, making it thinner than its predecessor, which measures 161.7 x 78 x 8.2mm. The new model is also rumoured to have a width of 78.4mm, incorporating a Key Island design, and a thickness of 9.6mm when factoring in the camera bump.

As for the specs, the Galaxy A36 5G is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It could retain its 6.6-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

There’s no word right now on when the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G will be unveiled, but March 2024 was when its predecessor was first showcased, so you can expect it to arrive around the same time next year.
