EyeROV Raises INR 10 Crore in Pre-Series A Round

EyeROV, a deep-tech startup specializing in marine robotics, has secured INR 10 Crore ($1.2M) in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures. This investment will help EyeROV expand its reach into international markets and enhance its lineup of advanced marine robotics products and solutions.

Established in 2016 by IIT alumni Johns T Mathai and Kannappa Palaniappan P, EyeROV is at the forefront of marine robotics and artificial intelligence. The company aims to transform industries like energy, maritime, defense, and infrastructure with its state-of-the-art unmanned technologies.

The company has pioneered India’s first commercial underwater drones and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and has also rolled out an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) that serves both India and the MENA region. EyeROV stands out for its ability to inspect extremely long tunnels and pipelines, and it has sophisticated integration options for specialized equipment.

In FY 2024, EyeROV won several contracts both within India and internationally, broadening its presence through collaborations in India and the GCC region. The company works with prominent clients like Tata, Adani, BPCL, DRDO, and the Indian Coast Guard, having conducted over 100 underwater inspections.

EyeROV aims to triple its revenue by the end of the financial year by increasing sales in both domestic and global markets. The company is gearing up to take on additional projects in the oil & gas, maritime, and infrastructure sectors, and is working on supplying products to the Indian defense sector.
